Why study welding?
Students successfully completing this program will have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary for employment in the welding industry. Skills and knowledge presented in the program include oxy-acetylene welding, cutting and brazing, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW/MIG), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW/TIG), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), along with destructive weld testing methods. The curriculum is designed to meet or exceed the requirements set forth by the American Welding Society (AWS).

Curriculum
ADI’s welding certificate program is a two-semester program consisting of 27 credit hours. Our curriculum includes cutting and oxy-fuel welding, gas metal arc welding, and gas tungsten arc welding.

Additional Requirements
Students in this program will be required to take ASE tests T3 and T7.
