The Auto/Diesel Institute of Michigan (ADI), a division of Baker College, announces Jennifer Briggs as its new Director. With more than 22 years of experience in the automotive industry, Briggs brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership, having advanced from an accounting clerk in 2002 to an executive-level operations director and top industry consultant.
Briggs refers to herself as a “trained business analyst and accidental ‘Car Guy,’” and she has built a successful career helping automotive dealers and service centers grow their businesses. Now, she’s ready to apply her expertise to a new challenge—addressing the critical shortage of skilled service technicians in the automotive and diesel industries.
“The automotive industry has provided me with incredible opportunities,” said Briggs. “I’ve spent my career supporting businesses in growing their operations and profitability. I’m excited to step into this role at ADI and directly contribute to solving one of the industry’s most pressing challenges.”
With a passion for the automotive sector and a strong background in operational strategy and problem-solving, Briggs is committed to ensuring ADI students are well-prepared for the evolving demands of both consumer vehicles and medium/heavy-duty diesel trucks.
“I’m eager to work with the team at ADI and help develop the next generation of highly skilled automotive and diesel service technicians,” Briggs added.
